Jordan has been entertaining crowds as a DJ/MC on his own or working with other companies for the past 25 years. In 2008, at the request of some friends, he decided to open his own DJ business. This is when Major Sounds Music Entertainment was founded, and it has been a blast! Fast forward to 2017, and MSM Entertainment is created. This rebranding means we can offer more services, all geared towards a better experience for our clients.
Jordan brings many years of experience, the ability to "read the crowd" and creative energy with him to every event he does. He is the face you see at your wedding, the one behind the mic serving as your Master of Ceremonies.
Jordan's personal music tastes vary, but if he had to choose favorite styles, he would say classic rock, blues, mixed with some techno and funk for some good measure. But, you can also never go wrong with some Motown or 80's rap to get a crowd going. Favorite 3 songs? "At Last" by Etta James, "Bust a Move" By Young MC, and "Thunderstruck" By AC/DC.
Kristen is the other half of the brother/sister duo that started MSME. She has been planning and working at events next to Jordan for years and continues to bring this experience to every event they do together. Kristen's primary responsibilities include maintaining the music collection and keeping up to date on the newest music trends. Her knowledge of music is extensive and she has a talent for finding those songs that will keep the dance floor full and the party going!
On the design side, she is responsible for the "visual presentation" of our set up at your event. This includes coordinating our decorations with your theme. She is always willing to share ideas for decorations and other little details that make the event "that much more". Her musical tastes tend to be more hip-hop, top-40, and country. Her favorite 3 songs would be "Anything Bon-Jovi", "Anything Michael Jackson", and "Anything Garth Brooks" (yes, I know that is more than 3)
Mindy is the latest addition to the team and to our family. Jordan and Mindy were married in May of 2014. Besides being the most awesome wife a guy could hope for (Jordan's opinion, of course!), Mindy brings many years of customer service experience and outstanding organizational skills to our team.
As she learns more about how things run, she is fine tuning her skill to read a crowd and pick the next perfect song to keep them on the floor.
When she isn't playing music, she is often found working beside Jordan at an event, often serving as the coordinator to make sure things run smoothly for our clients. Her favorite 3 songs would be "Anything Backstreet Boys", "Anything Luke Bryan" and "Die A Happy Man" By Thomas Rhett
